Description

Although not critical, it is thought to be beneficial to the immune system, the forming of energy in cells, and reducing high blood pressure.

There is no RDA, supplementation is not recommended without medical advice. Multivitamin supplements will contain Germanium.
Germanium is safe to relatively high levels, but excessive amounts will result in skin eruptions and diarrhoea.
Germanium is recognised as an important antioxidant and is important for the treatment of cancer and the maintenance of an effective immune system.
Germanium is present in trace amounts in fruit and vegetables, but is particularly rich in medicinal herbs, such as comfrey, ginseng and garlic.
